Maps of Content

116 2026-07-27 note

A map of content is a note that's mostly links, a curated index into a cluster of atomic notes on one topic, sitting alongside folders and tags rather than replacing them.

Automatic groupings can't make judgment calls the way a hand-written map can. A folder or a tag can only say a note belongs somewhere; a map of content can say why, and can put the same note in more than one place at once.
